Our customer offers for sale this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS327 Convertible, a restored example that maintains its factory-original condition. Restored 16 months ago, this Camaro has been brought back to its original state. All matching numbers, including the 5.4-liter V8 engine and automatic transmission, ensure authenticity. The only modern upgrade is a new radiator to preserve the engine. The car has won Best Convertible at the 2023 Concours d’Elegance Balatonfured, and it was also featured in a 6-page article in Hungary’s Veteran Magazin. This Camaro is a true piece of American automotive history and ready for shows or to be driven.
The exterior paintwork remains true to the original factory color, and the painted rally stripes add an extra touch of classic styling. The car’s body is in good condition. The interior has been renovated, with only the original dashboard and steering wheel retained. All other parts were replaced with OEM components to ensure authenticity.
The Chevrolet Camaro was introduced in 1966 as Chevrolet’s response to the Ford Mustang, and it quickly became one of the most iconic muscle cars of the 1960s. The 1968 Camaro RS327 Convertible featured the Rally Sport package, which included hidden headlights, special exterior trim, and rally wheels. The RS327 refers to the 327-cubic-inch V8 engine, providing a great balance of power and handling. This car represents the peak of the first-generation Camaro, combining style, performance, and collectibility.
