1964 Jaguar E type series one 3.8 Roadster finished in it's original Carmen red with a perfect black hide interior and a black mohair hood and sitting on perfect chrome wire wheels. The E type Jaguar was always destined to become a collectors item and was famously described by Enzo Ferrari as the most beautiful motor car ever produced. The design of the XK twin overhead camshaft engine, increased from 3400cc to 3800cc was at least 13 years old when the E type was introduced in 1961 but with an increased power output of 265bhp with 240lbs of torque. This resulted in a 0-60 time of just 6.4 seconds which in 1961 were outstanding figures. This 1964 Jaguar E type 3.8 series one roadster is undoubtedly one of the very best early E types we have had the pleasure of marketing and the attention to the detail of this restoration is exemplary. It comes with Jaguar Heritage certificate which confirms that it still bares its original Coventry registration number 8517 WK. Equipped with its original 4 speed Moss gearbox, a period Motorola radio and sitting on perfect chrome wire wheels shod with original pattern Dunlop radial SP tyres. With only 3600 miles since the restoration, the car performs extremely well and is ready for immediate use. It has recently been expertly converted to RHD and is realistically priced for one in this condition at £129,950. Updated interior pictures to follow shortly.
