This 1961 Jaguar E-Type Series One 3.8 Flatfloor Coupe is an FIA registered Competition GT car with valid Historic Technical Passport for Hill Climb, Rally and Racing. Valid until 31st December 2026, 6182 RW is in the GTS 7 FIA Class and has competed at several circuits all over Europe including Le Mans, and in 2019 the Kinrara Trophy at Goodwood Revival – the Revivals most beautiful race as claimed by the GRRC themselves.
Finished in Opalescent Grey metallic with Blue trim, this early E-Type was race prepared in 2002 by Colin Percy who had previously owned chassis number 860004, the original ‘CUT 7' and ‘EE400' the Equipe Endeavor Roadster chassis number 850018. The E-Type was later sold to Peter Lanfranchi and raced by him and his brother, and then Barrie ‘Whizzo' Williams who raced the E-Type all over Europe. In 2017 the E-Type was in the hands of John Young, raced and competed with by father and son at Goodwood and various other events. Since 2020, the E-Type has raced the Estoril Circuit in Portugal and was present and out on the track at the 80th GRRC members meeting in April 2023 when it was driven in the Moss Trophy by Craig Davies, finishing an impressive 10th place after starting in 27th.
