It was 1971, Loris Kessel laid the cornerstone of Racing Car SA in Grancia, a few kilometres from the centre of Lugano. The Swiss driver had a vision, devoting himself to the world of sports cars and luxury cars in every aspect.
One step at a time, the company initially was dedicated to the maintenance and development of road or racing cars. Year after year, however, Loris broadened his horizons and activities. Parallel to his business activities, Loris Kessel continued competing. A multifaceted driver, he distinguished himself by competing in numerous categories, both in GT cars and formula cars, reaching the peak of his racing career in Formula 1, first with a Brabham-Ford, then with the Apollon, a car created by him. His list of honours also the participation in the great sports car classics such as the "24 Hours of Le Mans" and the "1000 km of Monza", as well as two Gran Turismo Italia Titles in the Ferrari 360 Modena N-GT.
The Kessel brand has become a guarantee for those who love cars, whether they are classic, modern or racing. In Switzerland, Europe and beyond, a reference point for every enthusiast or collector.
